The Piedmont Division serves the Atlanta, Georgia area within the Southeastern Region of the National Model Railroad Association. The National Model Railroad Association is the largest organization devoted to the development, promotion, and enjoyment of the hobby of model railroading.
For those who are anxious to learn about the NMRA Achievement Program and the skills of Model Railroading, you are encouraged to attend and learn from some of the most experienced model railroaders including several Master Model Railroaders (MMR's), in the Division.
This session is free and open to all NMRA members.
The Piedmont Division will be participating in the Atlanta Railroads Prototype Modelers (RPM) Meet, to be hosted by the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History, September 19 & 20, 2014. RPM meets welcome all model railroaders interested in replicating prototype railroad locomotive, rolling stock, structures and locations.
At this time, Piedmont Division members are scheduled to conduct clinics and open prototype-based home layouts to RPM meet attendees. Check back often for more details.
