Hi Everyone,

I believe many of you many have finally started back to work or moving around the city more. Glad for you. Model Railroading has become really popular since many folks had a lot more time on their hands to model. Please share you projects on our Facebook page. If you have met the requirements for the Golden Spike Award, please contact Charlie Mason so you can get your award. Please see the NMRA site for requirements.

We do have a meeting scheduled Tuesday June 9th at 7pm on WebEx.  The link to attend the meeting is: https://meetingsamer3.webex.com/meet/perry_lamb

Our clinician will be John Bost. John will be presenting an “An Exercise in Sctratchbuiilding with Styrene”. John is an excellent modeler, and this should be a clinic you really don’t want to miss.

A couple of important things. We will not be meeting any at the church this summer. They are still officially closed. We will wait to see if they have a plan in July to reopen maybe in August for letting us back in September. Hang in there everyone. I want to meet again as bad as everyone.

So, with that in mind I have communicated with Mark McCallister and Mike Cummings with the SER about a Virtual SER-X Convention. It would be held on Saturday July 25th for 10 hours. We are planning to have multiple clinicians in time slots so you would be able to choose a clinic just like at a convention. We are still working out all the details, but we want to have something for the region because our conventions were cancelled regionally and nationally.

We are trying to keep some fun still happening. We will not be doing a monthly meeting in July or clinic through our division. The Region SER-X will be a large event so we will utilize that as our monthly activities.

Please continue to watch the website for changes to our schedules. Please have fun modeling and we will get back together soon. Different manufacturers and distributors are also doing things for fun as well. Please watch Facebook and the internet for some really cool stuff happening all over.

The NMRA is still looking for photos for the 2021 Calendar project. They have extended the deadline to receive by July 15,2020. We have some great layouts around our division so please submit your photos to:
