Boy Scout Railroading Merit Badge Clinic

Date:
Sat, 01/18/2020 (All day)

The Piedmont Division holds its winter 2020 BSA Railroading Merit Badge Clinic at the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth.

During our six hour session, Scouts meet all requirements to earn their merit badge. Scouts will learn about:

  • Rail Safety and Operation Lifesaver
  • Freight Car Identification
  • How a Diesel Locomotive generates power
  • Model Scale and Gauge
  • Amtrak Travel
  • Railroad Signaling
  • Plus a “Hands on” Make & Take

Space is limited and fills up quickly. If you are a scout leader interested in accompanying your scouts through our program or a scout with an interest in railroading, please contact our Boy Scout Merit Badge Chairman at scouts@piedmont-div.org. Pre-registration is required to attend a session. 2020 dates are January 18, April 18, and September 12.
